Clinical Negligence
Queen Square Chambers’ clinical negligence barristers represent and advise clients across England and Wales in all matters ranging from serious dental problems to injuries resulting from surgery. Our team know the impact of medical treatments going wrong can be devastating, and sometimes the law is the only option people have left.
We are able to assist with every step of the process including Inquest proceedings, from reviewing medical reports through to joint settlement meetings and if necessary to trial.
Success in these cases requires not only a knowledge of the law but also a deep understanding of the medical issues, which is why the department is led by a former consultant cardiologist, Dr David Thomas, who specialises in heart-related matters. The barristers are flexible in their approach, happy to discuss cases over the phone and accepting work digitally where possible. This approach continues with regard to fees and the team are always willing to consider a conducting cases under a zero uplift Conditional Fee Agreement and where appropriate they will look to include the Inquest proceedings within that CFA.
The work undertaken by the team is on a national basis and they are always willing to travel to Solicitor’s offices, a client’s home or medical facility to conduct a conference.
