Lucy is a Family Barrister at Queen Square Chambers with a practice focused on Public & Private Children Act work. She was called to the bar in 2005, then worked as an advocate and fee earner at a major large national firm of solicitors in their Bristol office, where she became an Associate. As well as being a former solicitor, Lucy was also a Registered General Nurse and a Family Health Visitor before moving into the legal world.

Lucy gained her higher rights of audience in 2015 and has joined us from a busy family Solicitors in the South West where she practiced exclusively in family law. As a Solicitor Advocate she has experience of assisting clients from their initial instructions to final hearing with a focus on obtaining the best possible outcome for the client. Her experience ‘in-house’ means Lucy is acutely aware of the pressures Solicitors face and what they expect when instructing Counsel, ensuring a focus on client care and keeping you updated and informed throughout proceedings.

Lucy lives in Somerset, and enjoys walking and exploring the surrounding countryside with her family in their campervan. Her dog enjoys the walking part, her young son requires a bit more persuasion!

She is a member of the Somerset Wildlife Trust, and a keen supporter of programmes to protect the local natural environment.
