Rhys Johns

Rhys represents both regulators and professionals in hearings before professional regulatory bodies, including doctors, nurses, opticians, social workers, solicitors, teachers and dentists.

He is familiar with the varying procedures for each regulator and the differing standards of proof which apply.

He also has experience of HSE proceedings and advises businesses on compliance with relevant statutory provisions.


Rhys has further expertise in coronial law and regularly acts for interested parties in inquests. He has experience of jury inquests and is an effective and persuasive jury advocate. He most recently acted for the family in an 8 day jury inquest in Swansea arising out of the death of a prisoner.

Rhys accepts appropriate cases on a direct access basis, and is always pleased to talk to clients about their potential claims

Rhys enjoys good food and wine, horse racing, rugby, and reading both history and literature. He has a particular interest in Belgian beer.
