Bristol is by far one of the most vibrant, exciting and refreshing cities to live with its ever-present community spirit that embraces diversity. Home to an abundance of beautiful and historical landmarks, there is always something to see and do.  For me, however one of the most exciting elements of living in Bristol is the array of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants that you’ll often find me exploring on the weekend and days off.

It is not surprising that a city of this nature was the first in the UK to set up a city wide local currency, something that I am proud to be part of; I am now a fully signed up trader accepting online, mobile and paper Bristol Pounds and can help you and your business with all your employment law needs including:

  • Advising you on the law, HR issues, the strengths and weaknesses of your case and procedures (in writing or in person);
  • Drafting documents including correspondence, court documents, contracts and policies;
  • Representation at tribunal and court hearings, other hearings, meetings and negotiations;
  • Conducting disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings;
  • Advising on settlement agreements;
  • Training on all aspects of employment law which can be tailored to your individual requirements.

Run as a not-for profit partnership between the Bristol Pound Community Interest Company and Bristol Credit Union, the Bristol Pound is designed to support the city’s thriving independent business sector placing communities and the environment over shareholders and profits.  With over 800 business members and transactions over the course of a year reaching £1,000,000 its success speaks for itself. Aside from the numbers, there is something truly special about using the Bristol Pound; it embraces all that makes Bristol unique, enhances our sense of community spirit and helps to keep money circulating in the city strengthening the local economy and not to mention the paper Bristol Pounds are truly beautiful!
